Enrolment
Group Class
Students enrol in group classes by whole terms or modules. Partial enrolment may be allowed subject to placement assessment and the centre’s recommendation. MoTai Mandarin arranges students in class based on enrolment form. Students should pay close attention at enrolment and ensure they complete the form and enrol in favour of their personal circumstances. If there are any doubts or questions, students should contact the office for clarification before submitting their enrolment. Whilst MoTai Mandarin may be able to accommodate any request of changes post enrolment, there is no obligation to do so. Students enrolling in a tuition and are unable to attend is at the student’s full responsibility. After enrolment submission, students will be arranged in class according to the enrolment form. Confirmed class details will be made available and notified via email one week prior to term commencement. It is the student’s full responsibility to check their emails (including spam/junk box) and make sure that the information is received.
Partial enrolment may not include textbooks and the tuition fee is calculated based on the individual sessions you will attend multiplied by the ‘Individual Session Rate’ (cost per session). Refer to the Timetable & Fees page for ‘Individual Session Rate’. Students enrolling partially should confirm the number of the session they will attend at their enrolment and tuition fee is required to be paid in full prior to attending the first session.
While there is no formal catch-up class/lesson provided for group class students when they miss/anticipate to miss a lesson, MoTai Mandarin strives to swap classes for the affected student should there be any availability. Students may catch up themselves by referencing the progress note, handouts or any materials available on student portal or book eligible tutoring sessions for support. Students can also book private 1-On-1 lessons to catch up, however an extra cost will apply. Students should be fully aware that group class is not private tuition and is conducted on a fixed timetable which students agree to commit to at enrolment. Therefore, students should endeavour to make it to each lesson to avoid falling behind in their progress.
Private Class
Students book private classes directly via the quote received and the class will be arranged accordingly as per the quoted details. Minimum booking for private class is 10 hours. Students should read the quote carefully before acceptance and making payment as any changes requested after booking may incur additional charges. If the ‘Fixed Class Time’ option is chosen, students will be unable to cancel, reschedule or pause any of the scheduled lessons. If a student is unable to attend class according to the agreed schedule, the student bears full responsibility and the lesson(s) will still be charged. If a student chooses ‘Flexible Class Time’, any request to cancel, reschedule or pause the class should be made with the office by providing at least 48 hours notice in advance. Failing to meet this notice period when requesting class changes will result in the lesson(s) forfeit itself. To encourage consistent learning, the due date of completion applies for each booking. If an extension is needed, a request should be made with the office 48 hours in advance. Additional travel cost applies for classes held outside of the Sydney CBD area.

Tutoring
Tutoring is an optional session for current enrolled students to attend subject to eligibility. Tutoring sessions can be joined by multiple students from different levels. Tutoring session attendance requires booking two days in advance.
